I found all of these Harbour Seals hauled out on Rankin rocks.Rankin is east of Tofino down Tofino inlet. This spot is a great spot to relax because no ground predators can get there.Harbour Seals are a good indiction if the “bait fish” have moved into the inlet or not? The Sea Lions (Californians & Stellar’s) may begin to move in as well if the bait fish hang around? The ocean currents have been moving oddly over the last 20 years.
They move into these sheltered areas during the storm season,but only if the supermarket is open.
