Extract from an article by Mark Gillespie on Self Publishing Advice Site:

I’m sure no self-respecting author reading this post has neglected what is easily one of the most valuable free marketing platforms on the Internet – the Amazon Author Page.
After all, it’s as if Amazon has offered us our very own ID card.
Bear in mind too, that this card is accessible to millions of people who shop on Amazon everyday.
And did I mention that it’s free?
All things considered, that’s not a bad marketing tool to have in your authorpreneur toolbox, is it?

And if your books are available worldwide, make sure to set up an Author page on both the UK and US sites, as they are slightly different. (one day I have a dream where Amazon consolidates all the reviews, author pages and ditribution into one…)
How are you, Chris? Sorry it’s been a while since I dropped by!

Do you have an Amazon author’s page.. even if you have just the one book at the moment it is important to have this central information centre for readers. As an author promoter it makes my life a great deal easier to have everything under one roof.. Head over to The Story Reading Ape’s post and follow the link he has found for us on the whys and they how tos.
