Need a Writing Buddy? Find One Right Here! – by K.M. Weiland…

on Helping Writers become Authors:

Some of the questions I am asked most frequently are, “How can I find a writing buddy? Where did you find your own critique partners? Help! I need beta readers!”

And, yes, as you may have noticed, that last isn’t a question so much as a desperate plea for help. I noticed too!

Even more specifically, writers need the help of one another. None of us is able to edit our own work with complete objectivity. To take things to the next level, we need the critique and encouragement of other writers—people who know what they’re doing and who are as passionate about the same type of stories as we are.

  1. Hi there, Reference KM, writing buddy. On checking through those who had commented, I did not find anyone a good match. If anyone is interested in being my writing buddy, I write both romance and thrillers, with eleven books published. I have just completed another romance story of around 68,000 words and am busy writing a thriller.I am also interested in writing screen scripts, I have written two based on two of my books, and presently writing another based on my romantic novel, A Dangerous Love Affair.

  2. And the key is ‘passionate about the same type of stories’. My writing buddy have been discussing this very problem… how do we find others. There must be others who like our stories, and whose stories we would like….
A timely post, thanks, Ape 🙂
