on Anne R. Allen:
Hi there and welcome.
I come to the publishing world from the realm of technical training, not from a creative mindset.
I look at the author world, the world of books, differently than many authors.
Because of this, I see common errors that indie authors make which can result in loss of sales.
Today, we are going to cover 5 common mistakes and easy fixes for each.

All good reminders: As for Amazon, there’s lot out there. I’m finding authors love/hate it all at once.

I appreciate Anne’s post, Chris. Her insights are always worth considering. I like to get my books in a few local book stores because local readers don’t always buy on Amazon and I love supporting local businesses. But it’s true: I’ve sold thousands more books online than at book stores, and it always surprises me to see my books sold on Target.com and Walmart online, for example. Never expected that.

Hi Cynthia, You aren’t alone in what you see. Many authors, in my experience, expect the majority of their sales to be from bookstores and are surprised to see the percentage of online sales. Thanks so much for reading my post on Anne’s site 🙂
