Google translator is not the best thing to depend on when you are trying to clarify what is being said in another language but it can be helpful at times. I visited Stuggart, Germany and wanted to go shopping. Google translator helped me communicate things I never would have been able to in order to navigate to the various destinations I had on my itinerary. I understand it not a tool to depend on if you wanted to become fluent but in this situation it was a much needed crutch in a foreign country.

Google Translator is *terrible* for Japanese. Just saying.
