Bardaid Literary Festival

imageWhat do you mean, what’s Bardaid? You’ve never heard of them? Well, to be honest, neither had I until late last year.

So, what is Bardaid? Bardaid is a group of authors who find villages with no libraries (did I hear a gasp of horror at the back, there?) and turn the old disused red telephone boxes in those villages into mini-libraries, thus preserving a little piece of English history at the same time as providing a wonderful public service.

And what’s this literary festival in aid of? To raise money to turn a derelict stable at Animal Antiks School, a school on a farm for special needs children and young adults, into a library. The festival is going to be lots of fun, so if you live near Long Marston in Hertfordshire, please come along and join us.
