One of the fun things about being an indie author is that you get to play with and test book marketing opportunities. But one of these that you should definitely put some effort into is securing a BookBub feature.
Why? Well, by simply offering a discount on your book, you’ll get in front of quite a few new readers, which in turn can grow your readership beyond those already familiar with your books by convincing them to give it a try. Everyone loves a deal, especially if it’s $1-2, or better yet, free!
Keep in mind though that BookBub features are notoriously tough to get. Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t happen right away, and stay on top of submitting your work every month for consideration!
It really is worth the time and energy, because the opportunity to sell more books is nearly unparalleled.
I have considered doing that, but I saw that they do charge $300-400 for accepting your book, is this still true or did I misunderstand? However, they do promise that one book on their site will generate 40,000 buys for a $1 – $2 dollar book. Is that true?
