I think I am doing a lot of that but I’m not getting too much back, so how do I know if no one steps up to the plate and speaks.

I suspect it is more to do with your site being on Wix Mary – there’s no way for people to leave feedback apart from your Contact Me page.
Wix is excellent for making websites, but not so great as a blog, which is the better way to interact with readers.
