This really is a thought-provoking article. I have recently moved from a busy town and a hectic life-style to a quiet and isolated place. I have initially found the silence to be quite challenging. I am a writer and gardener, I am learning photography and have a list of projects. Maybe that silence is better for me than I first thought!

I find silence, broken only by nature, very therapeutic Wendy 😀

That’s my favourite time of the day too Chris. Early morning and with birds in the garden.

I am a music lover, but quiet can be as beautiful as a Bach cantata.

Even though we can’t get total silence, we need quiet time. Turn off your TV! Turn off your mobile device! Find a quiet place (a park?) where you can listen to the birds sing and the squirrels rustle in the leaves. That’s the best vacation you can take.
