I learned something new today in your comments about why calling someone “sweet” could be an unintentionally unkind thing to do. Thank you for the valuable lesson today, Teagan, and Chris.

Oooh and it’s so very tempting!
Just the other day I highlighted a little passage in my work in progress — I was giving in to that temptation when I put a reference to someone’s unfortunate conduct toward me in the novel. Why did I highlight it instead of deleting it? I guess that’s proof of how strong the temptation is! Like Kaine, I’m not sure I could make good on the threat. Huge hugs! 🙂

LOL 😈 And people persist in calling me “sweet”… go figure. (If only then knew how harmful that term can be… Tell me I’m kind instead.)

OK – You’re kind and the opposite of bitter – Better Teagan? 😄😄😄

LOL I admit to being a sourpuss. Hopefully not bitter (though I sometimes wonder…). Okay, let me put the “sweet” thing this way. Here are the musings of this Steel Magnolia 🙂 (me): In a business meeting, how much respect does “sweet” get? “She’s so sweet — let’s put her in charge of something important.” (Not likely.) Would you elect some one “sweet” to an important office? Would you call Golda Meir, Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Clinton, Margaret Thatcher “sweet”? See what I mean?
“Sweet” has you constantly fighting your way out of the corners others try to back you into.
Did I just do a guest post. Sorry… Didn’t mean to hijack your blog.

Great Guest Post Teagan – I understand your point better now 👍
It’s a sad fact that humans (men) usually only see the physical appearance of women instead of their intellectual potential. 🤔

I have used this threat… I have yet to properly make good on it, though…
