I’d say cheap entertainment instead of “free” or great entertainment for the money (unless you get the books from the library) – Authors need to eat, too!

Reading is great escapism, also. When reading a good book, we can go visit other people, countries, another world entirely, and fit right in. This is a fabulous graphic.

I’m a voracious reader…as a child, after “lights out!”, I would sometimes sneak a flashlight with me to bed, and hide under the covers to read…books have seen me through my darkest corridors of time.
