WRITERS PLEASE NOTE…

Just to let everyone know, I’ve had a Writing Tips blog post removed by Facebook because it was regarded as ‘Spam’ because it allowed readers to click on it and go to my blog which is intended for as a resource for authors.
I have appealed the removal, but until the matter is resolved, I’m not posting any more content on Facebook.

This is not the first time Facebook have removed my content and I’m getting a little annoyed with them.

  1. If it wasn’t for the fact it’s the only place I keep in touch with certain friends and family, I’d dump FB.

They put me in jail yesterday for mentioning Hitler to a Trump supporter in a conversation about Project 2025.

  2. I’ve never been a huge Facebook fan, and these days, I only post a silly meme or cartoon each evening. That’s it! (After reading this post & comments, I might even stop doing that.)

NO ONE should get away with shunning the Story Reading Ape in MY opinion. Rock on, Ape! We love you and will NOT abandon you, FB or no FB!!! 🤗❤️🤗

  3. Personally, I haven’t had any problems with FB, but it must be annoying to say the least, to have posts randomly taken down.

On a similar theme, Microsoft wouldn’t allow me to post a comment once, saying it violated their rules. I read the rules, and could see no reason for them refusing.

These algorithms mess up all the time on many platforms.

  4. I haven’t had a problem with Facebook but I only post stuff for family and friends. However, some friends of mine have been banned and I had some comments deleted. Our First Amendment rights are being trampled on by this company.

  5. I have the same issue a few weeks ago when my Tuesday Top Ten posts started getting removed (there was no problem previously). The “Help and Support” tab is neither helpful nor supportive and good luck trying to reach customer service, which I believe is a big empty room.

  6. Seldom use Facebook these days, and am not surprised that they are treating a useful and clean resource this way. But we will always have Twitter 😉 LOL!
