#NEW RELEASE – Gloucester’s Own, by Andrew Joyce…

Gloucester’s Own:

Stories from America’s First Fishing Village

Everybody has a story. When people learn I write books, they inevitably say to me, “I should write a book.” Then they’ll tell me their story. And it’s true: Everyone does have a story.

In Gloucester’s Own, I endeavor to tell the stories of twenty people who now call Gloucester, Massachusetts, their home.
.
Some have traveled a long, winding road getting to Gloucester.
.
Others come from families who have been entrenched here for many generations.
.
It’s a cross-section of people. From “Movers and Shakers” to a bus driver, a scalloper, a house painter, a retired Broadway actor, and other assorted individuals.
.
Each story starts with a family history going back as far as could be researched, the average is 300 years.
.
This is a book rich in history and speaks to the importance of family.
