The first time I signed up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), I failed.
The story idea I’d come up with on October 31 ran out of steam after about 20,000 words and so did I. So I came back the next year ready to learn from my mistakes and get that coveted first NaNoWriMo “win.”

I seem to have gotten married to Novel Writing Month… My brain thinks it’s a lifetime commitment, and I have to do it every year, regardless. LOL. (Laughs hysterically, runs away gibbering.)

I, too, learned the hard way that no prep means not writing 50K in one month. Already starting my casserole list for Nov that I can put in the freezer on 31 Oct. No cooking or grocery shopping. For the first time, I’m even doing an outline.
