on Just Publishing Advice:

For many bloggers, a Google Update can come as a nasty shock.
You might have been sailing along for years with steady increases in your organic traffic and then, crash.
The chances are that because you were unaffected by previous changes, you didn’t pay much attention to Google algorithm updates.
But it certainly gets your attention when you suddenly lose 30, 40 or 50% of your organic traffic overnight.
Bravo. Good links here to help with SEO.

Hi Derek. My WordPress blog is strictly amateur, but I do have over 1500 articles, and that’s after a pruning a while ago. My question is this: when you say you should have a bio on every article, I assume you mean the kind of ‘about’ that appears at the end of this article. If yes, why? I mean, I have quite a comprehensive about page, why would I need an about on each individual article? I’m genuinely puzzled. Thanks.
p.s. I posted my question here because I didn’t want to click the checkbox for ‘storage and handling of’ my data. Sorry.

Meeks – unfortunately, you need to ask Derek this question, in the comments under his original post – he is not in contact with me, or my blog 😀

-sigh- that’s a catch-22 then. Never mind. I learned some interesting stuff so I’ll be satisfied with that. 🙂
