  1. Soraya’s maps are awesome – I jumped across and read the post. Woah! Good stuff, and thanks for the heads-up. To me (as I mentioned in comment over there), maps are fundamental to fantasy stories. Maybe it’s the way I was inspired as a kid by Pauline Baynes’ Middle Earth and Narnia map posters. I’d already read the Narnia books by the time I saw the Baynes map, but when it came to Tolkien, I knew the map first – then read the books.
