on Just Publishing Advice:

Yes, all authors know that an Amazon Author page is a very good idea.
However, there is a new way to create a beautifully designed author page that will add to your discoverability.
Draft2Digital (D2D) has been a breath of fresh air for many self-publishing authors. It’s easy to use publishing service has increased in popularity over the last couple of years due to its feature rich publishing options.
The feature that stands out the most is the automatic updating of all the back matter on earlier titles. This makes publishing a new title very easy, as all the back matter and the new title is added to all previous titles.

Thank you so much for publishing this much needed information. The one thing I think authors need more than anything is multiple choices of resources to publish their books and to market them. One simply isn’t enough. The book I edited with some 23 physically challenged female fiber artists, some of international fame, is not something that commands a great readership although the stories of each woman’s journey to overcome various major physical challenges and find ways to become successful should be a much needed source of inspiration. The truth is, however, is that most physically challenged people, artists or not, are society’s invisible people, just as the homeless are. Society simply does not want to deal with us. On my blog, http://www.artfulalchemy.blogspot.com, I am trying to redesign it to make it more dynamic and also to do more posts, etc. that are of interest to a lot of folks, and hopefully will bring readers to want to read our book. Marketing of books, no matter the subject, or the author, or how well the book is designed, is an ongoing issue that must be dealt with, and one single way is inadequate. No one knows the book and its contents like the authors. So even if you use services to help promote the book, you are going to have to get and stay involved on a very direct level to make things work well for you. Every single bit of information, every resource is so appreciated. Thank you for sharing with others of us.

I would think that to take advantage of D2D’s author page, you would have to make your books available through D2D. That would not be possible for books enrolled in Amazon’s KDP Select until the 90 day committment is over. D2D distributes to some of the same ebook stores as Smashwords so those with books distributed by them would have to unpublish there and then publish on D2D. Only then would you be in a position to create this great author page.
