I clicked over – interesting post with sensible advice. The other key thing is to assert moral rights – the separate right an author has to be associated with their work. It’s not transactable, whereas copyright is (I’ve written books, on occasion, where the copyright was assigned to the publisher, but that didn’t invalidate my moral right to be named as author).
