Welcome to another Thriving Thursday, everyone. I’m Teagan Ríordáin Geneviene here with a guest post for the Story Reading Ape.
Thriving Thursdays: It Could Be Raining
It’s hard to thrive when things get tough. During difficult situations, it’s hard to even think of your self in a positive way.
When you’re trying so hard, and still not seeing that silver lining — and people begin a response with “At least it’s not…(whatever)” it doesn’t make you feel much better, does it?
However, it can help to remember that you aren’t alone. Know there are people everywhere who are also trying to climb out of a hole of muck, or dig their way out of a pit of despair. They are trying to thrive. Just like you.
(My apologies if this video is not available in your area, or if commercials were added.)
So keep on trying.
Wishing you a Thriving Thursday.
Mega hugs,
Teagan

It certainly does help to know we’re not alone, Teagan. When I’m in such a state, I often reach out to someone who in turn reminds me of this. As I’ve just recently returned from a grueling month of editing and formatting ~ where I felt rather isolated ~ I found this post very comforting. And the video gave me a good laugh; I thought he was going to say it could be them inside the coffin! 🙂 Terrific post, my friend 💛

Several people commented about the Young Frankenstein movie, and a couple said they never saw it. I found this link to the full movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92GtHRiSN3A

It’s Friday and I am still behind, but have a thriving day anyway, Teagan and Chris. The clip said it all. Hilarious. I’ve never seen the movie, but it seems I must now.

Great clip, Teagan. I loved the actor who played Igor. It was hilarious how the hump on his back kept switching sides and he said, “What hump?”. It was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. Have a great weekend. 🙂 — Suzanne

Aw, thanks Christy. Poor little thing was the definitive scardey cat again today. (It’s no wonder she gets Inflammatory Bowel Disease…) But she’s doing fine now. I’m working to get my balance and acknowledge that even though the cancer was removed, she still has the IBD (many IBD cats get anorexia) — so if she’s not eating, it doesn’t necessarily mean the cancer is back. In other words, I’m somewhat better from waiting for the other shoe to drop. 😉 🐱

I think that trying to try definitely counts as trying. I’ll back that up any day. Btw, Chris, when I clicked like it, said to follow this blog, weird as I have followed your blog for at least a couple of years. weird. 🙂
