I show the video of this, narrated by Carl Sagan to my class each semester. We talk about word choices, describing the earth as a pale blue dot, and what a difference the word chosen has. The students respond well.

Well that certainly puts everything into perspective. I can think of a few politicians and power elitists who would benefit from being locked away for a few days with only this image to contemplate 🙂
