Thriving Thursdays: What if I Fall – 1 (Guest Post by Teagan Riordain Geneviene)

What if I fall?

I strive to be positive, otherwise I can’t thrive.  However, the ugly head of reality continually rears up in my face.  So I know that many times I’m actually going to fall.  But no matter how many times — or how hard I fall, the only choice is to drag myself back up and start climbing again.

Of course my self-talk takes a negative turn after a fall, and I ask myself
“What if I fall again?”

Then on the breeze I hear the faintest whisper… “But what if you fly?”

“There is freedom waiting for you,

On the breezes of the sky,

And you ask “What if I fall?”

Oh but my darling,

What if you fly?”

  1. I needed this today, dear Teagan, more than you could possibly imagine. Thank you for attaching a bunch of balloons to me, it’s up and away now. We already knew Chris was amazing, but giving us the gift of Teagan on these Thriving Thursdays, wow, thank you. Hope this week is treating everyone well so far. 🙂

  2. Such a poignant message, Teagan. I’ve been fascinated with the concept of adjusting one’s attitude to a workable mind frame for as long as I can remember! As a man thinketh, so is he, and all that. There are legions of books out there on this very subject, which tells me it’s a universal concern. Seems to me its a life-long endeavor, but one worth striving towards. Thank you for bringing it to the fore here!

    • Thank you for this mindful comment, Claire. You’re so right… I’m always trying to “raise my vibration” and “change my paradigm”… yet I never seem to get there. I suppose it depends on the obstacles with which one is assailed, and how much higher the vibration needs to go, and how deeply ingrained the wretched paradigm. Some of us (like me) have a bigger task than others.
Hopefully *trying* has its own benefit, regardless of the level of success. I believe it does.
      Have a thriving hug-filled Thursday.
