Check out Jean’s great video on her original blog post šš
Do you like to reblog?
Want more control over your post page?
As the saying goes, āthereās more than one way to skin a cat.ā
Iām sure most of you are familiar with the āReblogā button but I prefer the āPress Thisā button.
Or what about a Blogspot post? I use the title with a link to the post.
Why?Because Iām a control freak. I like to know what my post will look like once itās published. Plus I like to control when my post hits the web.
Hereās one of my little videos to explain the process.

Thanks for the video. I have a paid WordPress website. I followed your last example, but it didn’t work or maybe I’m not understanding the whole “reblog” deal. I thought when a gal reblogs, the entire post will go onto her site. So say, I reblogged this post, I thought everything would appear on my website, exactly like it is here. Am I being thick or is that right? If it is right, it didn’t work for me. Thanks for posting this though. š

Hi Bekki – Reblogging will give you the first few paragraphs and images in an original post – not the full post.
That’s why at the bottom left you’ll find ‘View Original Post X more words’
Only clicking that will let you see the entire source post.

Oh, okay. That makes sense. LOL. But the first few paragraphs didn’t appear after I highlighted the title and embedded the link into it.

I still knew it was you Bekki LOL
Highlighting the title and embedding the link just means you’ve provided a link for folks to click on the read the post.

But how would I get the first few paragraphs and images on the regular posts?

The only way on your blogspot blog would be to copy and paste the first paragraphs into a post, download the images to your pc or device, then upload them to your post, then link back to the original post to read the rest – I do that for non-Wordpress articles.
