Good choice to share, Chris.
A colleague told me in an amazed tone that he couldn’t imagine being “peaceful” enough, focused enough to write.
“Peaceful!” I exclaimed. “Man, it’s absolute chaos in my head when I’m writing. So many different things going on at once.”
Then I chuckled, imagining the quiet, pastoral scene he imagined, compared to the riotous cacophony I experience.
