Hmmm. My mother died in hospital and I didn’t see her until three hours after death. Her skin was not purple and waxy (6), her lips had not faded to a noticably pale colour (7), her hands had not turned blue (9) and her eyes hadn’t sunk (10). And no, she wasn’t in the cool atmosphere of the morgue but in a viewing room off the ward.
