I need some help dealing with Amazon. I’ve tried emailing them, talking to them on the phone and emailing them some more. Maybe someone out there has some suggestions on what I should do.
It all started almost a month ago. My Amazon account was hacked into and hijacked by someone with the email of … hockey.puck@yahoo.com. They managed to change my password and so I wasn’t able to get into my Amazon account. So I emailed Amazon customer service and explained in detail what happened. They sent me back an email saying to just go ahead and change my password. So I tried.
I’m beyond done!
I should have received an email stating that I changed my password. I didn’t. I also never received an email about this hockey.puck person changing the email and password of my account. So I emailed Amazon again and said I never received confirmation…

Just bloody awful! Amazon is like trying to reach the Wizard of Oz, Time to change my password!

Amazon customer service is outsourced and practically non-existent. It is also highly unreliable so their advice is recommended taken with a huge grain of salt. Better yet, switch to eBay. I have parted my ways with Amazon for a similar reason and off to eBay I went. Am just as happy. You can check my store here: http://stores.ebay.com/calendars-and-beyond

One or many books doesn’t matter Jackie, Amazon need to solve this problem or have authors drop out of their empire.

Jackie, all I have is one piece of advice to make it easier for them to understand the issues, because you never know the abilities at the other end. Once, over a problem I was trying to solve, I got talking to a person who had just started his job that morning and he didn’t have a clue. Now, when communicating, I put the issues in point form. It makes it easier at their end. Sorry, no solution. Just something that might increase the chances of a solution.
Very frustrating, I know.

Thank you for the suggestion. Maybe that might help as my problem is a bit convulted. Maybe having a point form will make it easier for them to understand.
