I have a few of those, some plain and others quite fancy which family and friends have given me for birthday presents over the years (I think that’s a hint there somewhere!) One year I even received a tiny (1/2 the size of the palm of my hand) blank book with an even tinier pencil as a ‘secret Santa’ present. The following year I opened another secret Santa present and there it was again but this time 2 tiny writing books … (I gave one of those to my 8 year old granddaughter who likes writing stories and was thrilled to attend one of my book launches!).
Now to current events today and over the weekend – I’ve got a monthly magazine column to write, a guest contribution for another magazine & then continue writing my new book – my mother. She didn’t just break the glass ceiling for women in the workforce, for her the ceiling never existed! a pioneer of women in the executive workforce (from 1949 onwards), mentoring others to step out of society’s expectations of women and the disadvantaged whatever their perceived handicap.
