Well here in hot dry Essex . . . Well no, that’s a lie, it’s only hot and dry here in summer we’ve run the gamut just like the rest of the country. There were two days when half the day was hot (19c) and sunny followed by half a day of chill winds. We’ve had a downpour, hail, something that looked like a cross between hail and snow and left the lawn white, hard frosts and a gale the only thing we haven’t had is proper snow but wouldn’t surprise me either.

Brilliant – and so true. Last week I was sunbathing in the back garden, this week we had rain, hail, snow and a northwestern gale, all in one day. I wish the spring would get its act together!

Well, we had some sun on Sunday (guess that is where the day got it’s name) – when Obama and Merkel posed for the photographers. We had mixed weather on Mondy, a heavy rainshower Tuesday evening, with sleet – and today it is cold wind, heavy rain (I have never reached work THAT wet!) and in the evening there was a hint of sunset …
