  1. I’m French, but I’ve been living in the Highlands of Scotland since 2001. People always wonder where my accent comes from because it has a Scottish twang, but also a little French lilt that they can’t quite place.
Oy laddie, where’s my brolly, you cheeky wee bugger! 😀

  2. I was ten years old (I think) when I saw the movie “My Fair Lady” for the first time, and despite the fact that they were speaking English, I couldn’t understand a word they were saying. Everyone else in the theater was laughing at the funny parts, and I felt like a dolt because I didn’t get the joke.

    • Watch’r me little sparraw Trace (the ‘y’ gets dropped in Essex) , it’s not EVERY Scotsman who says OCH AYE or HOOTS MON, or every Irishman who declares BEGORRA (although many Irish Women tend to fall back onto THE SAINTS PRESERVE US when told some scandalous gossip), the Welsh tend to say THAT’S TIDY for something nice and YAKI DA has more than one meaning 😄😄😄
