No, I am obese and have made one major mistake in my life: I went onto a formula-diet, daily calories-intake of 770. That fucked up my metabolism. I lost weight, 40 kilogramm – but I gained it all back! I now have the same size of clothes as I had before the diet.
Well, my basic level of calories needed is down still, I suppose. But, to be honest, since I am 47 that may have had an influence, too.
But that formula diet was in 1995/1996 (six months, three of which entirely of 770 kcal a day) – that CAN disturb your metabolism big time.
