This is how I understand marketing today: there isn’t a single technique that will allow you to sell you book. There are instead several different things you can do that, together, will work organically to produce a certain resoult.
That’s why teaching and learning to market, especially your own book, is so difficult. Many different factors have to be taken into account and a part of them are extremely subjective.
But then, this is also why marketing today is a less mechanical, less impersonal activity than it used to be 🙂
