Really? I had no idea. The internet is a wondrous place, not a bad one. I learn something new every day. 😀

There are worse things than being stared at by a duck – although I’m sure ducks are now going to claim discrimination and ask for a safe space to be where they can avoid microharrassments!

They’ll be tweeting about it no doubt Noelle 😄😄😄

Another thing for me to worry about. No wonder my childhood peers used to yell ‘Donald, Duck’, whenever they saw me. I thought they were making fun of my name.

OK, I hope this isn’t in poor taste, as this phobia is ostensibly genuine, funny as it may be. But here’s a link to some humor I did in a 2014 blog post about three rare phobias (didn’t come up with names for them, but that shouldn’t be too hard. I may include the item in a humor in a free humor download (promotional item to get more followers/subscribers.

There are phobias in abundance John, to those not affected they can be funny, but to those who ARE affected, they’re serious.
My phobia is waking up some day to discover I’m actually a human acting like a literate ape 😱🙀

Ah, that would be a fearsome thing. LOL. 😉

WOW! I have never heard of this type of phobia!
Before I read this post, the most unusual phobias I have heard about are:
fear of buttons (Koumpounophobia),
fear of coins (Cuprolaminophobia – Uncle Scrooge McDuck will frown on this!),
fear of holes (Trypophobia)
and fear of circular shaped items (I do not know the Latin name for it – I heard that people suffering from this phobia has square-shaped spoons at their homes! I’d love to have some of those spoons!!!)

In Victorian & Edwardian times sugar serving spoons were square Hari (I can remember my Grandparents having them), but the stirring spoons were oval.
BTW, I hadn’t heard of this phobia before either and made the post as a joke, however, apparently it does exist…

I’ve never heard of this before. Not fun. Thanks for letting us know, Chris. Another chronic condition, I suspect.

Someone suffering this must’ve been the first person to yell, “Duck!” when a bomb flew overhead. 🙂

I’d tell you where to send the bill, but then I’d be arrested for being a quack.

My grandson told me about this phobia just last night. I love ducks but I wouldn’t want them watching me…
