I like this, but would like to know the original source. Still a cool list.
When writing my novel i did a rough guess of the general age of the “neighbor friends” and found a (USA) database of government collected public information with the most used names for each state by year. So I took three female names for “the girls” in Tennessee. Then a friend out west complained that I had used all “Valley Girl” names, and that I should have used southern names. She had never been to the state, but apparently driving through a neighboring state 20 years before made her an expert. LOL. All you can do is laugh…
