#Authors – CONFIRMED COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT NOTIFICATION…

copyright-culprit

I’ve just been advised by Author Jack Eason that the following Facebook Site is offering six of his books in PDF format – WITHOUT AUTHORISATION, PERMISSION OR PAYMENT AGREEMENT WITH HIM…

Please check if YOUR BOOKS are being offered without YOUR permission.

If YES, NOTIFY FACEBOOK IMMEDIATELY…

MESSAGE FROM AUTHOR SUSAN TOY

PLEASE don’t send the complaint forms!!!

This is a click farm that collects your email addresses to sell.

Also, the last time this happened to us and we complained about copyright infringement our computers were infected with a virus.

Block this site on Facebook so that they cannot promote their pirate site there.

With all of us reporting the site it will get taken down.

DO NOT SEND YOUR PROOF OF

COPYRIGHT TO THIS SITE

NEVER TRUST THIEVES!!!

  1. My books are there.. I have blocked on FB but we are also going to track down their origins and take it further..Time that those with technological research came up with a form of dye pack to put inside our books so that if it is downloaded from any site that is not encoded into the book it causes the text to disappear…

  2. Reblogged this on S.K. Nicholls and commented:
VERY IMPORTANT!!! DO NOT SEND THE SITE A DIRECT NOTICE. They are a click farm looking for you email and you will be infected with a virus. Use Facebook’s reporting form to remove their link source from Facebook’s server.

  3. I’ve made a formal complaint to FB but don’t expect a lot of action. I was amazed to find my books – yes plural, and the books of many of my friends. What a travesty. They charge a monthly rate to allow them unlimited access. I wish I had as many downloads of my book at any of the legitimate outlets as there is at this place. I’m retired, but I’d be living a lot better than I am now. LOL. I’m trying to figure out how they got the copies – hacked? Bought and reselling ebooks? I’ve seen a lot of my books bought in the UK and then a couple of days later, returned. Could this be why? Also, the hoops expected to be jumped through to get this company to remove the books is ridiculous and I fear if I were to send proof of copyright, they’d use it as approval. Don’t trust a thief.

  4. Thanks for this info. I reported them to FB. Sigh. This is getting old. I’m still working with ebay for the same thing and just sent in the info for unauthorized copies being sold on Amazon. I guess this is the new reality in this digital age but it really sucks.

  5. All my books are on there, too. I blocked them and reported them to FB. Even if we get FB to act, that doesn’t stop the website. The only way the websites ever seem to be taken down is if a big-name author is affected and a large publisher goes after the site.
