Please check if YOUR BOOKS are being offered without YOUR permission.
If YES, NOTIFY FACEBOOK IMMEDIATELY…

It is so hard to get to the actual site. I was successful on one occasion by pointing out to the hosting company the legalities involved. The problem is finding who is hosting.

Chris, please do warn everyone NOT to send in the copyright infringement complaint form! This is a scam site. The site needs to be taken down completely, which may be difficult, but authors will have no luck at all with having their books removed individually. VERY IMPORTANT!!! So for now please block the page on Facebook and we’ll see if we can get it removed from there, at least. Some of us are doing what we can to get the site taken down.

Here we go again! My novel and a book I contributed to are both listed on this site for “free” download. And they have the same kind of copyright infringement form that forces authors to complain – then the site collects their email addresses, because it’s essentially a click farm. Please, everyone, block this site on Facebook so that they cannot promote their pirate site there. We make little enough as it is on the books we publish without having scammers like this in operation. Very frustrating, and time consuming, to have to fight sites like this!!

Yes, my book was there, too. Thank you for letting me know. I sent in a copyright complaint form, and will notify FB, too. Was nice to see how many downloads…would have even been nicer if they had been paid downloads. 😦

PLEASE don’t send the complaint forms!!! This is a click farm that collects your email addresses to sell. Also, the last time this happened to us and we complained about copyright infringement our computers were infected with a virus. Please see my comment above as to what to do about this. We’re going to try reporting the site and get it taken down.

Update: I also sent them a message through Facebook demanding they remove it. They responded:”hi lisa, all book grab automatically from many source. we are apologize if your book published in our site. please contact us via http://www.e-bookdownload.net/contact-us/ with your book title list and we will remove it in 1x24hours. thanks” I informed them I had, I will be keeping an eye on it, and they should consider changing their policies because they have no right to access work this way.

I don’t. I’m trying to take them down. Reaching out to people who have Facebook connections as well. And, someone just brought up the possibility that they are actually carrying viruses. I will not test but this is scary.

Interesting, within about 10 minutes of me making my official Facebook complaint (I had just done the message to them) my stuff (all of it) is no longer on their website. Which means that Facebook could come back and accuse me of fraud, but you will all back me, right?

There are a large number of these sites online and all seem particularly obtrusive when it comes to having books removed from their listings.
