This is great material! Love the grid!

Massimo, I loved the blog, especially that critique grid. I’m going to use that, I think, in my MS evaluation. (Credit given to Alex Keegan for the original.)
Questions: (I couldn’t ask them on your blog because I don’t have a Disqus account.)
In this section below, one critique item is duplicated. Do you have the original, and, if so, can you tell me which one should be different?
DIALOGUE (if applicable)
Vivid and crisp, in period, idiom and character 25
Story well told in the words of the character 20
**Good, with one or two crisp exchanges 15
**Good, with one or two crisp exchanges 10
More variety would have helped 5
The idiom failed to match the theme 0
Weakest point in the story -5
Secondly, you say this grid is a “later incarnation” of the original. Is it still attributable to Alex? I couldn’t find the actual grid anywhere online to confirm copyright or ownership or anything like that. And I don’t want to use it professionally without giving credit. 🙂 Thanks!

Hello, Susan. Yes, I think the grid should still attributable to Alex.
Sorry for the repetition, a cut&paste mistake. The 10 points for the dialogue should be: “Ok, but should stand out better.”
