Meet Guest Author Jennifer Paetsch

Hi everyone! First, I’d like to give a big thank you to Chris for this chance to talk about my work as an author.

Jennifer PaetschSo what do I write? Currently, I write a dark fantasy YA series called City of Doors with two installments out so far, Ghost of Doors and Wolf of Doors. I have written two ebooks for ages 9-12, The Homework That Time Forgot, and Ahoy! Monster Ahead, sci-fi and pirate ebooks respectively. I’ve also started a sword and sorcery fantasy series for adults called Dark Horse with one novella out so far, Oracle and Obelisk.

So why do I write? I write for the same reason I create anything, I wager: To share a view of the world with you that perhaps you haven’t seen before. I’m a Taoist, and a big fan of Buddhism, and I study the Tarot and Yijing. They teach me new ideas and new ways of looking at the world, and they inspire me to share these perspectives with other people. Plus, they have a positive message that many people in my life have responded to. I have been told that I tend to have a unique way of seeing the world anyway, and it seems to surprise people. At the very least, if you read my work, you will find something new.

Right now, I am offering both ebooks in my City of Doors series for half price on Smashwords:
