Growing up in a small town fuelled my desire to see more and led me to larger cities where I always kept abreast of events via the nightly news and local newspapers. 

I was intrigued by the stories of those who made an effort at a better life; on the wrong side of the law. 

My curiosities led to much research and my writing, Mafietta. 

I am an Army Wife, big sister and mentor with a big imagination.  I’m the founder of the Campbell Sisterhood, a group of women who support and empower each other as well as other Army Wives. I also donate 10% of my book proceeds to the Military Matters Project. However, my greatest joy comes from spending time with my family and seeing the smiling faces of those I’ve helped to find a bit of light along their journey.

I wrote the series because after watching many different shows about crime families from The Godfather to Belly to American Gangster or even Training Day – none of them fully address the impact that a life of organized crime has on the woman in the picture. I wanted my series to address that as well as the many ways women evolve in an effort to maintain certain relationships.


For me, it was important to get the story out there just to see how the world would react to Mafietta, so self publishing worked for me.
