Kevin Cooper was born in Hull, East Yorkshire, England in 1963, moved to the USA in 1985 where he first studied to get a GED in Kentucky, obtained a scholarship and went on to study at Western KY University for two years.
He transferred some of his credits to Asbury College and obtained a BA in Psychology in 1991.
After finishing at Asbury College, he studied at Asbury Theological Seminary for a year before moving to Arizona and enrolled at Grand Canyon University.
In 1998 he obtained an M.Ed from Grand Canyon University where he was also awarded a Graduate Fellowship.
Kevin was a substitute teacher for several high school districts in and around Phoenix for over six years before becoming a Manager for The Hertz Corporation in 1999-2004.
During this time he also became a lecturer of General Studies at the Metropolitan College of Court Reporting.
In 2004 Kevin returned to England with the dream of becoming a writer.
He, however then set his mind to other things and after a few jobs working in security, a call centre and a couple of offices, he managed to get a position working in the NHS where he stayed for almost seven years.
Finally, after having to come out of work to look after his wife, Kevin set his heart to writing again.
Kev started his blog called Kevs-domain.net, later to become KC Books & Music, and has since become an author of six works:
Miedo: Living Beyond Childhood Fear Miedo:
Living Beyond Childhood Fear is a memoir written as a British drama set in the historical city of hull in the mid-1960s-1980s.
This is the true story of a boy who after losing his mother at a very young age, begins to experience a plethora of paranormal/supernatural incidents brought about through the circumstances of living within a dysfunctional family and resulting in a childhood filled with fear.
Miedo 2: A Reckoning With Fear:
Miedo’s story continues in this chilling sequel to Meido: Living Beyond Childhood Fear.
As Miedo comes into young adulthood, he is confronted with new demons while he searches for answers to his past through Spiritualism. But, rather than finding answers, he is left with more questions as a plethora of paranormal experiences occur in his life once again…
The Devil’s Apology:
In this short epic fantasy/satire, the devil gives his account of what went on when he fell from grace.
He speaks of how it all began and depicts God as the culprit.
Witness the powers of the heavens in majestic battles between angels and demons as he retells the story.
Reflections:
A collection of poems, songs and muses.
Themes are life, love, places and influences on the soul.
The Wizard, The Girl and The Unicorn’ Horn:
An epic fantasy tale of magic, mystery and adventure takes us to the land of Geo, where, the wizard’s most challenging quest is to free the people of Geo and defeat the evil shadow. But, he is not powerful enough to face the shadow alone…
Surrounded by hordes of demon wargs and the might of the shadow, the fate of the land of Geo and its people is left in the hands of an old wizard, a ragtag bunch of goblins, a small band of trolls and a little girl who is the bearer of The Unicorn’s Horn.
Animal Tales:
A lovely collection of short stories and poetry about cats, dogs, birds, and even a mouse, wins admiration
Most of these tales were inspired by real life events.
Proceeds from Animal Tales are donated to the RSPCA!
Caboodle & The Whole Kit:
A collection of short stories and poetry to be released later this month on the 25th October. It is filled with relaxing episodes of life, family, love & romance, faith, and even the odd, inadvertent run-ins with some quite unsavoury characters.
This wonderful collection of short stories, poetry, and songs has been grouped together to bring a variety of tales, some of which are based upon true events, people can easily relate to. The whole kit is designed to ignite a mixture of emotions to bring smile, laughter, and moisture to the eyes.
Interesting to read all this about Kev. He’s had an interesting and varied career. 😀
