Well, not literally. That would be impossible.
But, you can switch between books. Which is what I do.
At any given time, I’m reading at least three books. Always thought it was weird until I read a recent post. Now I know I’m not the only person who keeps several books in the air.
It’s quite a balancing act.
There is always at least one or two books about writing, a mystery, and a comedy/love story open on my Kindle. Which one I read when depends on my mood. And a really odd thing is, no matter how long it’s been since I started the book, it’s as if I began reading it yesterday. I have no problem picking up the story thread. No matter the genre.
But, from time to time, there are books I can’t put aside.

I tend to read books in 1-2 sittings, so I’m unfamiliar with this concept of “concurrently reading”. Or even “what are you reading right now”, really.
I never know if they’re asking what’s on the top of my to-read pile, or what I read most recently?

I’ve tried but I get side tracked from both or all .. and then I no longer enjoy the experience of any … I prefer to get stuck into one and give it my full attention

Last month onwards I have also started reading two to three books at a time. I have them on my kindle and choose among them depending upon my mood. I don’t know whether it is right thing to do or not, but yes sometimes I do think I am not doing justice with those books by sharing the attention they deserve at one time with someone else.
