Don’t you think “forgotten” is overstating the case just a little? There are plenty of women and girls with those names. The fact that they don’t make the top fifty doesn’t make them “forgotten.” 🙂

I expect they’ll come back into fashion. Many names from the Victorian era are fairly common now, while names from my generation aren’t so common.

These things go in cycles. When I was a kid, I was the only person in my school with my name. It had been popular in my grandparents’ generation but had fallen out of fashion. Now I see little girls with my name all the time.
