My favorite childhood book was Anne of Green Gables. I now possess my mother’s books. I also read Little Women and Little Men by LM Alcott.

I loved Enid Blyton’s The Folk of the Faraway tree. I read that story too many times to count. And was very upset when my mother gave away my copy.

I have not been able to find one in Canada – Enid Blyton does not seem to be popular here. This is a book I will have to buy in South Africa – or even England.

A great breakdown of children´s books. My all time favourite was Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery followed closely by Little Women by LM Alcott.
