“Continuum” is a nicely done five or six season TV cable series (done by a Canadian company, “Showcase”) that does a fairly nice job with what seems to turn out as a multiverse concept that may be slightly mixed with a dynamic timeline. In a true multiverse universe it can be tricky to tell sometimes, since some of the multiverses out there would APPEAR to be simply the same timelines with very minor “changes” that were “caused” by the results stemming from an episode of time travel.

What Dynamic Timeline fails to mention is that you can kill Hitler’s grandmother, however, and he may not rise to power. This may or may not prevent to rise of the Third Reich to power and World War II, the atom bomb and millions of other events because of the butterfly effect. You may or may not be born, you may be poor, you may be crippled, or you may be unaffected personally. Time travel may no longer even exist. I draw upon the example of every time travel story I ever read, most particularly Connie Willis, plus speculation of my own.
