  1. We need to know how to compose this way as I said above; before my finger poked send and broke my stride. But we need to tell on occasion, to speed the pace, stop the reader from busting a gut as he/she tries to understand why the character is screwing up his eyes and dribbling down his vest. Less is more most of the time but just sometimes … I am carrying a box of tools but one tool doesn’t do every job, the ability to use them all is what will hold the reader and improve the writer. ‘ Just saying’ 😇
