  1. Hurray! Now if this can just extend to small ISPs in the rest of the world that host some of these sites. Ones that were offering my book for download had domain names registered in Vietnam, Eastern Europe, etc., while some of the ISPs were cloud-based in Canada and elsewhere. It’s a complicated mess trying to track them down and send takedown notices, while Google’s search results removal is a tedious process (although it DOES work). Watch out for urbookdownload.com, which may be a credit card phishing scam along with a pirate site.

  2. Thanks for posting this Chris (errrr, I mean Mr. Ape LOL) . . . I found several Indie authors’ (including MINE) books listed by some jerkoff when I googled one of my own books. They are also doing it on youtube (discovered that when I went to check on one of my book trailers!!!!!!!! Needless to say I was and AM really P.O.’ed (since this is a family site I will keep my expletives tame as possible but you get the drift.) I am really disgusted with this, and it seems like there is no other action but to take it yourself (which I am working on – finding out who the IP belongs to, . . long drawn out process, then turning them in to Ebay and Google, etc. etc. etc. I mean REALLY??? Selling one of my books (paperback) on Ebay for TWICE what it’s going for from Amazon???? Sheesh, if I’da known it was THAT great, I woulda priced it at that myself . . . LOL/GRRRRRR. Anyway, just felt like venting at 5:42 a.m. this morning. Hugs to you and have a great day my friend 🙂
