People born in the 50’s have lived in seven decades, two centuries and two millenniums. We had the best music, fastest cars, drive-in theatres, soda fountains and happy days. And we are not even that old yet. We’re just that COOL.
If you enjoyed this article, why not share it with all your friends, online connections and groups - GO ON - you KNOW you WANT to!
Those born in the 50s are absolutely the coolest. And more specificially, when you’re from “the class of 73”: “Onward through the fog. Light up and party, have sex be free. We’re the class of ’73.”
I’m always early to the party and am again for the 50s, but do still remember them. We didn’t lock our doors, bought groceries ‘on time’ and paid for them on payday and bread was five cents!
We don’t need to be surgically removed from our phones, we follow bands that actually know how to play musical instruments, and we had FREEDOM as children to roam wherever we wanted to go without being supervised!
Just missed it!

I missed the 50s by a couple of years but lived through them anyway. All Hail rock and roll, Rin Tin Tin and Roy Rogers!
