Great blog and it is so true. As a child, I grew up in a home with no TV (imagine the horror)! At the time, I thought I was deprived, but in truth it was an amazing blessing. I read avidly for entertainment and knowledge and believe with all my heart that reading makes a writer!

Great post. I’ve been doing a huge amount of reading as well as writing and have found I’ll start a book and drop it, if it I’m not getting anything out of it. My favorites authors are so numerous and literally all over the place: Faulkner, Ken Follet, Dickens, Craig Johnson, James Mitchner, Emily DIckenson, Sarah Orne Jewett, C. J. Box, along with two friends of mine, new authors, R.M. Byrd and Elizabeth Hein. Sorry to hear about the writer’s block. I think I’m emerging from one,

Hey Noelle, I do that too! I find it funny when it’s a mega bestseller that everybody raves about and I just can’t get into it. LOL! Love your authors and I agree that mine are all over the place too. It also depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to escape and other times I want to think deep thoughts. Way to go on emerging from your writer’s block! I don’t intend to stay too long in writer’s block. 😀
