After 15 years of sending out short stories and having rejections come to my mailbox, I’ve learned to understand my piece needs a reread. If I still like it I accept that it just hasn’t found the right pair of eyes. I’ve had over 20 short stories published and anthologized and am now working to select the stories that will make a collection. Rejections are not fun, but it’s all part of the business.
