Everyone wants more followers and it is intimidating to see people with 100,000 followers when you fought hard for 14.  Don’t obsess about the numbers because it can drive you mad. Those people may have  joined Twitter in 2006, or bought a bunch of bogus followers for $19.99 or maybe they are famous or happen to be super successful business people. It doesn’t really matter. What matters is quality.   You want to follow people  that you have the potential to connect with, learn from or be entertained by.  In return, you want to be somebody desirable for them to follow. One hundred “true” followers who are interested in what you have to say and engage with you regularly will be 10x more valuable than an unknown, disconnected Follower Mob.
