I have so many TBR piles that it’s ridiculous. And every time I go to the library (three or four days a week, since I work there) I bring home more. If I have renewed twice and haven’t even started them, my rule is to take them back, unless I don’t. And then there are the ebooks, and the ones people send me to review. I love to read, and need to read to be a writer, but there are limits!

Chris, this is PRECISELY how my Sunday turns into Monday without my realizing it…mine are all paper-copy. I also keep saying “no more just now” and then encounter another I can’t resist. And when I read one that’s good, intriguing, well-written, I HAVE to make time to write a review where it’s been sold, and get involved in an email or FB conversation with the author. How long does it take to read and review a book? Somewhere between two hours and two weeks… 🙂

LOL Laura, I KNOW IT – Even when I’m right in the middle of reading a book, someone is asking if I’d read THEIRS 🙂 If it’s a short story, I’ll try and squeeze it in, then back to the first one – AND SO IT GOES ON LOL 😀 😀 😀

I have e-readers overloaded with books, my bookshelves are stuffed, and my desk is piled sky high, however, tell me about a good book and I’ll add it.

I have a TBR list over on Goodreads, but I try to avoid putting titles on it because I know I’ll either never read them or I’ll be distracted into reading something not on it. I also avoid downloading free e-books for the same reason – I’ll probably never read them and they just fill up my Kindle. When I really want to read something, I usually buy the print book. After I re-started writing back in 2000, I pretty much stopped buying books because I wasn’t reading – the writing took precedence, and I don’t like unfinished stuff sitting around.

I’ve just done a list of the order to be read for my TBR pile. I feel really bad that so many having been waiting for my eyeballs for so long that I’m sure the authors think I’ve forgotten them, but I’ll get to all of them – hopefully before I clock out. I’m definitely going to have one of my own personal old faves to read in between the read and review books as well. 😀

I think there are a LOT of people in the same boat Jo (I’m way back down at the flat end playing with the steering) 😀 😀 😀

Horrific. I have Kindle for PC and there are loads on it. Trouble is I spend so much time on the PC already, I don’t feel like sitting here to read a book as well.

That’s why I have a Kindle and a Nook (ink fumes actually affect my breathing nowadays, so I’ve had to give up real newspapers and books)

Same here: books in paper format, Kindle, Tolino (another eReader). Most of them are to be read and reviewed. 😀
