Sherrie Miranda’s historically based, coming of age, Adventure novel “Secrets & Lies in El Salvador” is about an American girl in war-torn El Salvador:

Her husband made a video for her novel. He wrote the song too. You can go to the Home page of her blog to watch it:

  2. Interesting that this includes synonyms for “said,” considering the often-quoted Rule of Writing that says you should use only “said,” if you resort to dialogue tags at all. Personally, I believe the more words a writer has at their disposal, the better. Whether and when to use them — that’s a matter of taste, talent and technique.
